This was my initial plan for protecting the sides and rear of the neck, but once I got it fitted and took a good look, it just really took away from the overall appearance of the helmet, since its didnt exist on the original one. I made a face and scrapped that piece, replacing it with a bar-grill. I think that move helped considerably to preserve the look of the helmet. What remains is polish/assembly, but that will probably wait a couple of days, as I developed a %*#! head cold last night...
