Constructively like to stay away from the climate of politcs so prone to us here in America. It is therefor for me by my own choice just to share my experiences of pentjac silat with my disciples (loyal students) and acquired friends here in the US and all over the world. I love them all. I was blessed and very rich to have trained in the streets of East, Central and West java, and also under the tutalage of genuin teachers. I was first introduced to serak, when I met uncle Ventje first in 1946, prior and before Maurice and Paul started to train under him. Later on, here in America and in Daily city met guru Groenewald, and trained under him the Cheribon Serak - he had genuinly studied directly under pak Serak. Groenewald wend back to Europe and died. Not known to the serak world, makes me happy at that, is for me a charm and for others may claim I am a liar. that is okay too, my actions speaks for itself. Will soon arranged by an old disciple teach the art in Florida. My old student, Roberto Torres, Santiago Doblos are my roots in the state. Serak is practiced by thousands of people and can never be only out one source. Bapak willem de thouars.
