The current system is flawed and threatens the vibrancy of our democracy, as well as the livelihood of nearly 11 million individuals. Among those 11 million individuals are students, parents of US Citizens, and other hardworking people who make immense contributions to America’s culture and economy. Many immigrants, particularly those from the Caribbean and African Diasporas face unique inequities that must be confronted. WHAT: Panelists will discuss comprehensive immigration reform in the context of what is being done on the ground with the advocacy community. They will engage the audience in the many ways they can get involved with reform, culminating into a mock advocacy interactive session.
