After the adjudicatory hearing one day ago,Father Jose Landaverde was called via phone and threatened by Wheeling director of community development Mark Janeck that he was going to sue the priest for exposing the Village Wheeling. Landaverde said" you are racists". Many feel that the Fox Point mobile homes had minimal damage and the village wants to destroy the homes for economic development. >> >> Mobile resident Leonardo Chan was harassed by Mark Janeck today >> " Janeck asked are you the man that represented the people at the hearing? >> You need more its not enough what you did and I need to see your attorney before the next hearing! Johnathan Manrique was offered a bribe by Mark Janeck to sell his mobile trailer home property for $5,000 dollars but has to withdraw from the case. >> >> Another village resident was given a written ticket warning by Wheeling police for impeding traffic yesterday on the way to the hearing at Village hall. >> Father Jose Landaverde, residents and activists will hold a press conference on Thursday, to denounce discrimination, harassment, and bribery against the Village of Wheeling at the mission in Little Village. They will ask for the resignation of Wheeling community developer Mark Janeck publicly.
