Contest for Techies a Big Hit.......... THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: ‘Srishti-2014’, a creative writing contest in English and Malayalam for employees of Technopark, has entered its final stage with over 250 entries shortlisted for the awards. Organised by ‘Prathidhwani’, a socio-cultural organisation based in Technopark, Srishti is organised as a platform for employees of the IT hub to showcase their creative writing abilities. In poems to short stories, a huge variety of themes were submitted for the contest, the organisers said. The entries will be evaluated by a judges panel comprising Kureepuzha Sreekumar, Gopi Kottoor, Chandramathi, P V Shaji Kumar and Praveen S R. The entries are also available on the website prathidhwani.org/srishti-2014-entries/ for a viewers’ choice award. “All competing entries are posted online so that the viewers can read and vote for their favourite story/poem/essay, both in English and Malayalam,” a press note from Prathidhwani said. The voting is available for Technopark employees till August 31. One person can vote for one entry in each category. Employees can submit their vote by giving their name and e-mail id. A notification will be sent to the email address by Prathidhwani admin. The vote will be counted against the entry, once the person accesses the link sent through email. Once a vote is cast, it cannot be undone. The awards will be distributed at a function to be held in the first week of September at Travancore Hall, Park Centre, Technopark.
