Continued from last post. There is something about having a resolve in your heart as to what the will of God is. So many people when they face a problem have so many obstacles to overcome before they could ever get to the place where they’re convinced that it’s God’s will. Why? Because they sacrifice one of the absolute of God’s nature, they sacrifice that 5 years ago when they faced that bankruptcy problem, and they sacrificed it on the altar of human reasoning, and they have to try to figure out whether it’s God’s will for them to ever be blessed again. The CONCEPTE, that God would put disease into your body to make you into a better Christian is what opens you to the assault of hell. Because it’s the strongholds of deception that bring an invitation to powers of hell to come kill, steal, and destroy. I’m really in a good mood. I am mad but it’s not at anyone here. We are in need of something that is so huge. We need a reformation. A reformation that changes the mindset, of the centuries of deception, that have been planted, into our spiritual bloodstream, on the nature of God. There is something so profound and so deep that I think it’s the equivalent of a deliverance, that we come to grips with the fact that planted within many of our DNA is this concept that God brings evil into our life, we would never use those terms because we know that it’s not the right, kind of words, but in our heart of hearts believing that God would bring something evil and bad and ugly into my life to make a better person. There is nobody here that would ever say “well God is the one that led me into drug addiction and he knew that it would work for my benefit”. We would never believe that about sin but it’s believed everyday all around our city about disease. Why? There’s no reason. There’s no reason except that there has been a SPIRIT of deception to cover the eyes of the people of God to the very NATURE of God. God, good. Devil, bad. It doesn’t get any more complicated than that. And the privilege you and I have in life is to demonstrate what he is really like. This warfare that takes place between what I understand and what I don’t yet have, this warfare happens in lives of people that have been willing to stand in the middle of no answer, in the middle of death and disease, in the middle of conflict and unresolved issues, and to stand and to cause my own spirit to rise, and to taste of the nature of God who is good all the time, and to give him thanks in the middle of conflict. You see there’s a picture for us that’s so profound in scripture, Isaiah 60 gives us a spiritual picture of a city and it’s called the community of the redeemed, we’ll call it “ZION” in scripture. It’s the community of the redeemed. And in verse 18 of that 16th chapter is says “and your walls will be called salvation and your gates (the door places, the entry places) will be called praise”. Well in Revelation the gate was made out of one solid pearl. How is a pearl formed? It’s formed through irritation; it’s formed through conflict, what is the conflict? The conflict is “I don’t have the answer, I live with a God who is promised he heals AAALL my diseases, and yet I know that he is good absolutely all the time, and IN THAT CONFLICT I RISE AND I GIVE HIM PRAISE THAT IS NOT MANIPULATIVE, THAT IS NOT CHANGED, that says God I know you have a reason, a purpose for this, but is true honoring and exalting him in praise. Something happens to the vessel, to the person who engages God in the middle of that kind of conflict, it’s called, “SACRIFICE”, cause it cost me something. And it’s in that moment that a gate is formed, what is a gate, it is a place of access, it’s a place of entrance, it’s a place where the king of glory comes and invades a situation. How was he invaded to come? Many people have walls but it’s the wall of salvation, but there are no gates so there is no entrance. There’s no entrance because they’ve not been able to live in the middle of not understanding something “How can promise to heal all my diseases but I’ve got this problem in my kidneys or whatever”. And they cannot live in the middle of that kind of paradox and conflict and give him praise, and as a result there is no gate that is established.
