Continued from last post. You know the gate, it’s strange, in psalms it says, the psalmist said that “God loves the gates of Zion more that ALLLL the other dwelling places of Jacob”. A gate, a dwelling place? A gate is compared to a dwelling place, why? Because in this context the gate of praise is where his presence rests. The gate is where the king dwells. The gate that is formed by moving above human reasoning that ALWAYS DEMANDS AN EXPLAINATION FOR A PROBLEM, and I’ve been moved into a place of trust that in the middle of things I cannot explain cannot give you bases for, all I know is that he is good aaalll the time. And this that I see happening in my life is from the devour not God. Jesus came to give life. We have to anchor into superior revelation. Not all truth is equal is created equal. Throughout scripture we see things that are true, but then we get additional revelation that is superior, for example, the entire Old Testament was focused on building a consciousness in mankind in that they were sinners and that they needed God. The revelation was the power of sin. It was illustrated in the fact that the Old Testament if you touched a leper YOUU, became unclean, like the leper. In the New Testament the revelation is the love of God, the superiority of the love of God. It’s a greater revelation. And so in the New Testament I believe it’s in Matthew 8 Jesus comes and he touches the leper, and instead of Jesus becoming unclean the leper becomes clean. Because the New Testament has a superior revelation. The Old Testament have law, the law was perfect, the New Testament has grace its superior. Judgment is a real issue, but mercy triumphs over judgment it’s a greater revelation. Sin is powerful but love covers a multitude of sin it’s a superior revelation. Now you gotta catch this because this is so critical to what we’re trying to communicate this morning. In Hebrew 1 it says of Jesus that He is the “EXACT” representation of the Fathers nature. In other words Jesus could say if you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father, that‘s exactly what He said. He was EXACTLY representing the fathers nature when He reach into the mud, spit into the blind man’s eye, He was illustrating the Fathers heart, when He came to the mother that had a dead child and they were having the funeral and He raised the child He was ILLUSTRATING the heart of the Father. In every way the person of Jesus illustrated the heart of the Father. Now there are many people who believe that the heart of the Father is completely different than that, that’s why the Father would will sickness on somebody, would will poverty, would will some kind of torment on somebody, it’s just there lot in life so they can become a better person and yet Jesus is constantly contending with the Father. NO that’s a lie! That’s the BLASPHEMY, that’s the lie! Is that Jesus EXACTLY represented the Father. When He did something He was illustrating the Fathers nature so this is the point, anything you get out of Jobs life, that says God wants you sick, comes from an inferior revelation because Jesus is the superior revelation. What God did in the Old Testament to cause people to realize there need for God and the power of sin is completely different from what HE EVER intended or wanted to do, it was because man resisted and rejected grace and chose law. And in that decision the hand was forced to show the brutality of law. And to transfer THAT as the heart of God for people IS ABSOLUTE, ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. Can you imagine Jesus coming to a blind guy, and he says “I’d really like to see”, and He says “Man, this is just the blindness that my Father gives, and it’s just a gift to make you a better person, but I’ll pray that God helps you to have spiritual insight”. I’m so tired of people praying for blind people and asking for God to open the eyes of their heart. But the problem is they’ve got natural eyes that don’t see. There’s none of that in heaven it’s got to matter to you and me. So what happened, Jesus said “This kind only comes out with prayer and fasting”. And so what do you do with your life? I have before me the memory of a mother whose child did not get delivered. Brought to my hands because I represent the King. What do ya do? He said it only comes out with prayer and fasting. What do ya do, time to pray and fast.
