Continued my series at Mainstream tonight on Traits Of A True Christian. Last weeks question and topic was Do You Hunger for Holiness? Tonights was, Do You Have the Mind of Christ? This is not to say we will ever be omniscient like Christ nor be perfect in our thoughts (those are His attributes as God). But 1st Cor. 2 tells us that as believers we have the mind of Christ. Thats because He is in us and has been since we received Him, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Gods presence indwells us, which is our assurance of salvation (Christ in you, the hope of glory, Col. 1:27), so we have the mind of Christ because we have Christ Himself! Then we also have His Word which allows us to renew our own minds by seeking HIS on a daily basis, so were continually learning, growing and changing. Were certainly not all that we should be, but were sure not who we were either...
