***Continued very cold through Saturday*** Temperatures will average around 10 degrees below normal through Saturday. The normal high today at Caribou is 37F and at Bangor 44F. Highs today through Saturday will mostly be in the 20s across northern Maine, and from the upper 20s to mid 30s Down East. Lows will drop into the teens at night, with single digits Friday night across much of northern Maine. No major storm systems are expected over the next several days. A weak area of low pressure may bring a couple of inches of snow to parts of Washington County Thursday morning. Otherwise, expect a few snow showers across the remainder of the region Thursday. A major warm-up is still expected Sunday into Monday as low pressure passes west of the area and brings a return flow of much milder air into the area. In fact, by Monday look for highs in the 40s across northern Maine, with 50s for Down east areas. Unfortunately, the milder temperatures will be accompanied by rain.
