Continuing our ABCN workshops, yesterday we visited Darcy Road - TopicsExpress

Continuing our ABCN workshops, yesterday we visited Darcy Road Public School and worked with 3 fantastic groups of pupils. This is one of the most wonderful schools I have ever visited. On our arrival we were greeted by a garden full of flag poles on which flew all the flags that represent the nationalities of the students who attend the school, a sign with the schools purpose, a giant sign with Kevin Rudds apology to the Indigenous people of Australia AND... a rooster, one of the many that the school owns. We sat and chatted with the Principal Harry Berwick for half an hour after our sessions, about the value of the arts in a young persons life but also in the lives of all of us.....we and didnt want to leave.
