Continuing our staff spotlights we introduce our 2015 cymbal staff: Steve Nelson, Will Lackey, and David Clay. STEVE NELSON is a returning cymbal instructor for Palmetto Percussion. His marching experience includes The University of Georgia Redcoat Band, as well as the WGI groups: Palmetto Percussion, Terminus Atlanta Percussion, and Pariah Marching Percussion Theatre. WILL LACKEY is a percussionist from Atlanta, GA. He began his marching career at Roswell High School in Roswell, GA. In his WGI experience, he marched for Odyssey Percussion Theatre in 2010 and Terminus Atlanta Percussion in 2011. He also marched for CorpsVets in the summer of 2010. DAVID CLAY started playing cymbals in 2005 with the Georgia Tech Marching Band. Since then, he has passed his knowledge on cymbal lines at several Georgia high schools, including Lassiter High School and Rockdale County High School. He served as lead cymbal tech for Odyssey Percussion Theater, Terminus Atlanta Percussion, CorpsVets Drum and Bugle Corp, and for the Georgia Tech Drumline.
