Continuing with my review of the Golden Decade of Music 1965-1974, where I am selecting the artists alphabetically and playing selections of their songs I liked or found influential from that Golden Decade. I am currently in the Cs and will play a few from the next artist on my list, Joe Cocker. Cocker is an English rock and blues singer, who came to popularity in the 1960s, and is known for his gritty voice, his spasmodic body movement in performance and his cover versions of popular songs. The next song selected from Joe Cocker is his version of Feeling Alright, a song written by Dave Mason when with the band Traffic for their eponymous 1968 album, Traffic. Joe Cocker had a hit with the song in ’69 and then again recharting it in 1972. https://youtube/watch?v=jFhIO3bU9HA
