Continuity from sheikh ibrahims history PART VI: VISIT TO NIGERIA In the 1940s, after meeting the Emir of Kano (Nigeria) during his pilgrimage in Makkah, he gained the allegiance of many of the prominent Tijānī leaders of Northern Nigeria. He became a major leader throughout Hausa areas of West Africa and in fact ended up with far more disciples outside of Senegal than within it. By his death in 1975 in London, Ibrahim Niass had millions of followers throughout West Africa. His branch of the Tijāniyya has become the largest branch in the world. After his death the community was led by his closest disciple Alliw Siise and his oldest son Allaaji Abdulaaay Ibrayima Ñas. The current Khalīfa in Medina Baay is his oldest surviving son, Aḥmadu Ñas (known as “Daam”), and the Imam of the mosque is his grandson Shaykh Ḥasan Sise (also spelled Assane Cissé), who is probably the most prominent Tijānī leader in the world today. Part VII: -HIS POLITICAL/DIPLOMATIC INFLUENCE-IN REGIONAL AFRICA & GLOBALLY: This rare personality in the history of Mankind has played roles that one could hardly believe that it comes from an esoteric- scholar that lives somewhere in the semi-arid zone of the tiny belt of the Sene-Gambia. He fought for the independence of Black Africa through his relentless direct contact with leaders and communities of many African states in the Post-independence era. Immediately after the end of the World War II, Sheikh Ibrahim embarked upon this laborious task of seeing the unity of the continent and hence prepares it towards achieving it self-autonomy. In his celebrated work Al-Ifriqiyyah Lil-Ifriqiyyin published in 1950, he opined elaborately that Africa MUST be governed by its own children. Indeed, the quest for true freedom is considered by Sheikh Ibrahim(RTA) to be the purest obligation of all Men of ample discretion, knowing no religious boundaries as exactly portrait by the Statesmanship of the Holy Prophet(S.A.W.) in Medina when he engaged in truce with the Bani- Nadhir,Bani-Qainuqah and Bani- Mustaliq Jewish communities in order to defend Human Rights & Freedom. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was a protégé far excellent, who vows total allegiance to the Sheikh in the struggle to achieve practically unequivocal independence for Black Africa and the entire world from the British Colonial Masters. PART VIII:THE REVIVALIST OF THE SUNNAH Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass is the sheikh el-Islam, the Revivalist (Al-mujadid), a succour (Gauth) and a Saint in Islam. He was born on 15th Rajab 1320 by a reknown Muslim scholar, sheikh Abdullahi and his mother Aishat in a village called Taibat, established by his father. Right from childhood he was known for his unparalleled concer for Quranic studies, research on the hadith and other branches of Islamic knowledge. Precisely he ranks first of his contemporaries in the rudimental knowledge of sharia and mystism. His contribution to the spread of Islam in Africa and other continents is note worthy. For instance Islam got to be known by people in eastern Nigeria through Ibrahim Nwaguyi who was converted by sheikh Ibrahim in dream before he struggled to trace sheikh to Kaolack in Senegal. In America and European countries where his grand son Hassan Cisse is still spreading and showering the mercy of Islam in the counties. Sheikh Ibrahim travelled globally and have converts to Islam all over. Out of his numerous works, he published 75 books on various subjects. He lived for 75 years and he was survived by 75 children. Allah accepted his prayers within twinkle of the eyes and many countries and people benefited from his prayers. Many reknown scholars from Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, West African countries and a host of others have no choice than to come under his umbrella. The scientific knowledge of Allah sprang and spread over the world Through him. He departed the world on Saturday, 15 Rajab 1395 (july, 1975). May Allah bless us by his grace ameen To be continued insha Allah.......
