Contrary to belief, leaders are not born. The great man theory no longer holds true today. We now know that leadership is a product of several variables. One of which, is a situation. As we reflect today on the 73 Anniversary of Pearl Harbor, we see leadership through the lens of a situation that propelled a country to unite behind a common goal. Organizations can demonstrate the leadership lessons learned long ago by recognizing that internal situations occur each day by which they can rally their constitutes to rise to the occasion.
