Contrary to popular belief, black people in America were voting as far back as 1870, long BEFORE the Voting Rights of 1965. Its always amazing how parts of history are excluded from conversations when those parts dont fit the agenda of certain individuals. With that being said, I wonder why no one finds it odd that we have been voting since Noah got off the ark, but STILL find ourselves at the bottom of society. To add insult to injury, other minorities have surpassed us in numbers, and politicians no longer even waste time campaigning for our vote, because doing so is a waste of time. The bottom line is only damn fools believe that you can vote yourselves into a better social standing. The change in 2008, which never happened should have been a wake up call for Negroes. Unfortunately it was not. No politician owes us a damn thing, because we dont practice group economics, which would in turn allow us to OWN our politics. Keep voting, ignoring ECONOMICS, and holding on to that dream. Eventually that dream is going to become a nightmare. Yeah, like that....
