Contrary to popular belief,it is not the teaching of the bible that were all Gods children,though we all are indeed His creation.We were created by God ,but born of Adam.According to the bible and genetics, we all share one common ancestor. Were all born sons of Adam .We have to become born again to become sons of God.Jesus is the only person to ever walk the earth who was not born of the seed-life of Adam,because He was born of a virgin.He is the only born the Son of God.He died and rose so that His life could become seed to produce many sons of God.Outside of this reality,God has no children.In the Old Testament, no one born of Adam is ever referred to son of God ,though He did choose to love Israel as a son.They were called servants of God,and the children of Israel, but never the children of God.God loves all of us,because God is love.However,God relates to His own as a parent would,speaking of provision and protection.As far as God is concerned,all that is of Adam is always as Adam.When an unsaved sin, it is a matter of the creature sinning against the Creator. When believers sin , it is a matter of children sinning against their Father.Thinking that were all already Gods children robs us of the opportunity to seek sonship and its accompanying benefits.
