Controversial question but why has it been left to fans to raise money for Alex? Dont get me wrong, Im all for it & think its absolutely awesome that everyone is pulling together to help this man with financial assistance for his future but come on $1 from all ticket sales?!?! If the NRL wanted to be fair in support why not $5 or $10 for. Couple rounds at least?!?!?! Something needs to be seriously addressed within player contracts where coverage for these types of injuries seem nonexistent. The Knights club & the NRL should be taking care of Alex, it shouldnt be left up to the fans! Im literally asking because apart from the feel good aspect of helping Alex I cant seem to find a reason good enough that prevents Alexs club & the NRL from taking full care. Thoughts?
