Conventional logic dictates that the harder you work, the closer youll get to your training goal. From the perspective of weight training, this would mean pushing every set to its absolute limit (like your favourite mass monster bodybuilder wearing desert boots, jean shorts and oakleys). Another phrase for this is muscular failure. To get stronger or add muscle its important to know when to push it and when to back off. If your training age is low, youll get away with this for a while but as the training stimulus no longer becomes novel, things need a bit more sophistication. HENCH-Fitness
