Conversation in my house tonight: Mark: So, Mel, did you make it out to the landfill today? Me: Yep. Sure did. (hoping the convo ends there....) Mark: Did Bethany show you where to pull up to the dumpsters? (she has gone with Mark to this new landfill before) Me: Yep. Sure did. (please stop here, please stop here....) Bethany: Yeah! We drove in circles, though. Me: (cringing behind Bethany....) Mark: Oh??? Mel??? Did you drive in circles??? (utter delight leaking out of his very pores!) Me: Thanks, Bethany...... Bethany: (voice taking on a teasing tone....) Oh!!!! Im so sorry, Mom! Did Dad make fun of you??? (smiling) Me: Hes about to. Mark: Mel??? (laughing now) Problem??? Bethany: Oh, Dad. She did a great job. I kept waiting for her to drive by the church, and then by McDonalds, and then turn left....but then I saw the water tower in Wellborn....she gave it an honest effort. Mark: WELLBORN???!!!! bahahahahahahahaha!!!! Sam: Yeah, and I had to pee so bad I was CRYING!!! The moral of this story: Never send me to drive somewhere I have never been before. And if you do, pass out the popcorn and drinks before the entertainment.
