Conversation started today Hello friends, Our work in Jasper in support of LGBT causes is not nearly over. Even though I am not with you in person, you are all in my heart. Raise Up brought many wonderful films: Milk and the Kids are All Right with wonderful panels. Sarah Barry and Tommy Craven have put so much of their personal energy into this powerful program. They have big plans and need our help. I am pledging and I hope my FB friends will support them with any donation and of course attend their events. I just wanted to thank you for being such a supportive force in helping me reach my goals and fight for equality for all. This past year, my LGBT awareness group, Raise Up, has moved to providing only online resources. But thanks to some volunteers back in Indiana, we are able to offer participatory events and attend area Pride festivals. This is an amazing opportunity for Raise Up to continue to do more powerful work in southern Indiana. Raise Up has planned a year of events that will only be possible with a $750 budget. This budget includes 12 film screenings and panels over the course of the year which draw the biggest audiences. Participation and materials for the 2013 Strassenfest parade and three area pride festivals which allows us to expand our reach to the community. The operational costs of our website raiseuplgbt and social media, and a 12 month schedule for our new programs Raise Up Weekly, Raise Up Book Club, and Raise Up Cyberchats which you can learn more about on the attached document.
