"Conversations With God" III One morning after an early walk and shortly after having sold our family business, I kneeled in my office at home, I had been diligently reading and meditating on the book of Galatians. As I knelt in prayer in this conversation with God, these words came up out of my spirit by the Holy Spirit... "Grace desires relationship. The law requires formula, ordinances to be observed in order to obtain justification. Faith has come to set us free in order that we may develop a grace relationship with our Father." I quickly jotted these words down and began to meditate on what He had just said. "Grace desires a relationship." There is much teaching on the subject of grace. The Apostle Paul received a revelation on grace. This day, The Lord was telling me a certain aspect of grace I had never even thought of..."relational grace"! The whole reason for the plan of salvation is to restore man back his relationship with his Father. "The law requires formula..." Relational grace will desire however, the law always will require! It will require formula, ordinances, checklists. "...ordinances to be observed in order to obtain justification." The religious person, is one under the law. Observing this rule and regulation in order to be justified by his works. He is always trying to work his way into salvation and being accepted of God. The relational person, is one who simply trusts in the fact that God loves. And because God loves, God desires a relationship with man so much, He provided man a savior to give man access to His presence! "Faith has come to set man free, in order that man can develop a grace relationship with the Father." Trusting God sets man free! Faith in the Son of God sets man free! It is through the shed blood at Calvary, man has been granted access to develop a relationship with his Creator! Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (Galatians 2:16 KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV)
