Conway Cafe, Penlan - Heavyweight Breakfast Couple of the chaps in the office were discussing breakfasts this morning, and the Conway Cafe was mentioned. I liked the sound of it instantly as all the breakfasts are graded by boxing weights. A quiet original idea. Went for the Heavyweight which was £4.95 inc tea or coffee. A sign on the board kindly explained that a maximum of two swap items per breakfast. This immediately put me at ease as it can sometimes be a bit unnerving asking for a swap. As the breakfast was already so loaded all I did was swap one of my bacon for an additional sausage. So, 3 x sausage, 1 x bacon, 2 x eggs, 2 x toast, chips, 1no hash brown, mushrooms and beans. For £4.95. I was quite wise to swap my bacon as it wasnt cooked to my preference and quite fatty, although most people seem to like it that way. The food was outstanding in fairness, only thing I could mark it down for was the bacon and fact beans and mushrooms were intermingling. However they werent on my mates plate. To put it in perspective Andrew Ford could not even finish his Heavyweight breakfast and he had even omitted the chips!! Will deffo revisit again, they have a Facebook page by all accounts too.
