Cook County Higher Education in collaboration with Mesabi Range Community & Technical College are offering two levels of Boiler Operator Licensure training. The training is scheduled for September 27 and September 28, with registration due on September 4. The training offered is: Low Pressure Boiler Operator “Special” – for maintenance personnel in plants, facilities and commercial buildings. Friday, September 27 – 12:30pm – 4:30pm and Saturday 8:00am – 12:00pm (state licensure exam to follow) Both days are required. Fee: $150 plus $50 testing fee Location: North Shore Campus in Grand Marais Instructor: Bill Parker High Pressure 2nd Class Boiler Operator – for those who currently hold a Low Pressure Boiler Operator License looking to move into the high pressure boiler area. Affidavit of operating experience is required. Friday, September 27 – 12:30pm – 4:30pm and Saturday 8:00am – 12:00pm (state licensure exam to follow) Both days are required.
