Cooked a chicken thigh as a treat for the cats. Divided it up, cut - TopicsExpress

Cooked a chicken thigh as a treat for the cats. Divided it up, cut small and even went through it with my fingers to make sure there were no bones, ugh! greasy fingers (vegetarian remember). Fed Scampy first at the back of the house. By the time I had returned from feeding the other two and the stray outside, I could hear a distressing "Yuk, Yuk, Yuk" cry. Rushing into the kitchen my first impression was Scampy was throwing some sort of fit, with her tongue lolling out of the side of her mouth. I then realised in fact, it was a piece of chicken skin she had stuck in the corner of her mouth. I grabbed it with my fingers, as she backed away from me across the table. It was so greasy, I could not hold onto it and it slipped from my fingers. The skin slapped her across the face like a piece of elastic, knocked her off balance and she did a backward somersault onto the floor. I leaned over the table to see if she was alright, in time to see her shake herself, find the offendeding piece of chicken, throw it in the air, tossing her head like a raptor and devour it whole. She then sat up, stared at me, gave a big burp and started purring. 10 minutes for my heart to slow down to normal. Right, back to the cat food packets.
