Cooking help please: am making the Chicken and Vermicelli Soup with Egg & Lemon from Turquoise by Greg and Lucy Malouf (its a Turkish soup) and one of the ingredients called for is a long green chile, seeded and finely shredded. A shredded chile? I dont ever recall seeing shredded in a recipe before unless it was for pulled pork or something. Any ideas? Is it minced? Finely chopped? The instructions give no clue... Any ideas?
