Cool Nights, But Very Warm Days WEEKEND WARM-UP: While our nights will continue to be on the cool side, and jackets will still be required, the days will show a gradual warm up. Highs in the mid to upper 70s today will rise and l be flirting with 80 degrees tomorrow, and lower 80s appear a good bet for Sunday. Skies will be mostly sunny. If you are headed to those area high school games tonight, look for temperatures mostly in the 60s. A jacket will feel good especially in the second half. Tonights low is headed to the upper 40s. With lows in the 50s expected Saturday night and beyond. Saturday afternoon college games will be dry and warm, but once again, if you are headed to the evening games, bring a jacket. Monday will be a rather warm day in October with middle 80s and mostly clear skies. Clouds will increase a bit on Tuesday. As a frontal system approaches the state by mid-week and then tends to stall, a few showers could pop up by about Wednesday/Thursday. No widespread rain is expected, unfortunately. GULF COAST WEATHER: The weather on the Gulf Coast will be ideal this weekend with abundant sunshine and highs in the upper 70s. Lows at night will be in the low 60s. Gulf water temperature is 79. TROPICAL WEATHER: The remnants of tropical depression nine is located near Belize and is drifting slowly eastward with little chance of development.
