Cool... Phase 1 is coming together! Just had my offers accepted on 2 upright freezers and 1 side by side fridge with ice maker. Still looking to finalize deals on kitchen cabinets, another side by side fridge with ice maker, electric stove, flat screen TV, and a sectional couch. Thanks to my nieces Ashley and Jess, we painted the back room, it really looks nice with a fresh coat of yellow and white paint. I want to install a black and white checkered floor but Jess thinks that would look dumb. Suggestions? As I mentioned yesterday, I have drywallers coming to finish the ceiling and the ceiling in the laundry room and an electrician to put in two more lines for the added appliances and for slow cookers, etc... I outlined my plan for a Morning Sun Care Home painting to hang in the newly remodeled entry room and Jess thinks she can handle that. I joked with mom that with every new admission to the care home, I am going to give them a Sister Linda bobble head doll. She will have her watchful eye on every resident from their dresser top! LOL I am thinking kool lots also for the bobble head. What do you think? lol Phase 2 is expanding from 13 beds to 17 beds, Phase 3 would be Morning Sun Banqueting House, (details to be unveiled soon), Phase 4, Morning Sun Fun & Fitness, (details to be unveiled soon), and Phase 5, expanding to 20 beds. Phase 6 I plan to finish the house on the back acreage for mom to retire in, Phase 7 is hoping to build a 4 stall garage, and Phase 8, a small barn when I am able. I also outlined with Jess today a plan to do art related activities with residents that results in a small retail shop, Sugar River Creations, the majority of the proceeds to go directly back to the individual artists along with an attempt to secure work contracts for our residents, such as making bows for Swiss Colony. I know, pretty lofty plans, but I think, very doable. In the end, Morning Sun Care Home will again provide Christian, quality care, mom, a peaceable retirement, and an opportunity for employment for many family members. None of this is possible without Gods consent, so your prayers are welcome. Hope you had a Satisfying Saturday! :) :)
