Cool story ... both migrated to NZ mid 60s as individuals, found each other, started courting and loving their new friends at the YSA Wellington group. Became members, and set goal to be married in the temple. A Year later 28 September 1974, 7am they had a civil ceremony at Hataitai Chapel. 10.30am caught a flight to Hamilton to be sealed for all time and eternity in the NZ Temple 2.30pm flew back to Wellington 4pm reception at the Hataitai Wellington Chapel. With family and friends they recall the usual nerves but knew that this was real and it was the only way! They recall rain and wind taking off Wellington airport and calmness in Hamilton, they recall so many loved ones in attendance and dad can remember clearly the events as if yesterday. His Aunt Italia and Uncle Leti Mariner chief of our family were close by always. Uncle Siufaitotoa was his best man absolute love for him For mumsey, her mother and father flew over from Samoa. And both had 7 each in wedding party with 4 flower girls and ring bearer. Mumsey pulled out a box with the well wish cards ... Amazing day they both recall. 40 years later they are still inlove as if it was the first time. Im grateful for their kind examples and their love for God. Im blessed to have a strong foundation and the knowledge that Love is real and regardless of trials and challenges when you work together as a team things work out. So heres to another 40 years and from my parents to all of you in relationships, ...keep going, keep talking and keep building each other and if you have children, when they go astray dont feel you have failed, love them no matter what. Pride doesnt put bread on table, love does and when you know love everything falls into place. You do things out of your comforts and its because you love. For those like my daughter in search of that love, its possible and its within your reach.... Ummmm thats all im quoting haha Im content thank you ...
