Cooperation vs Competition - According to Daniel Shmachtenberger our current global value system is based on separate and competitive war initiatives and not peace initiatives and interests, this country againt that country, this corporation against that corporation, that tribe against this tribe. Within this system lies the belief in scarcity of resources thus your world and my world becomes competitive against each other and not symbiotic or sustainable. In the current system the goal is to maximize competitive advantage and differential advantage not systemic advance. So we are using the highest levels of technology and power and control not for life but to conquer and divide, not for life for everyone but to complete and work against each to help. In a competitive and separate advantage system we actually make the least effective use of our natural resources! Basically competition and separate and competitive systems is not sustainable and induces death and suffering. A COMPETITIVE SYSTEM BASED ON THE IDEA OF SCARCITY IS ACTUALLY A SELF FULFILLING PROPHESY FOR MANIFESTING ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY! Actual sharing of intellectual property and creative resources and sharing physical resources that don’t need to be utilized all at once is one of the ways to advantage less resources to afford a much higher quality of life for more people. The competitive impulse is one way to motivate but it’s not the only way. We can have competition against collective problems and time that unite us instead of separate us. Cooperation vs competition! Before there was competition and control and money of an unhealthy patriarchy there was the matriarchal Native American system of Barter & Trade and Tribal living, where the Circle of Life was respected and all were connected! Here is a brilliant interview on what needs to be done to solve our massive and accelerating global problems. The Critical Path Institute provides a deep analyses of the global systems that incentivize causes of environmental collapse and cascading extinctions. Daniel has a great grasp of these dynamics, the capacity to present it clearly, and the vitality to carry out the needed global educational program that will foster the fundamental shifts in individual identity and values necessary to create a sustainable system for life on our planet. Before there was competition and control and money on this land of an unhealthy patriarchy there was the matriarchal Native American system of Barter & Trade and Tribal living, where the Circle of Life was respected and all were connected!
