Copied from Friends of the PGR Page..... Sharing so PGR across the country can see how far reaching what we do is - We received the following email from Denmark, from a man who saw what we do on the internet and felt compelled to thank us. Amazing, that our volunteer work touches so many, from places we might never imagine: Hello Patriot Guard Riders. Written 11/28-14 My Name is Theis Grefstad, and im Danish. First of i would like to say it is hellish hard to find a way to write you a thank you. I would like to give thanks for the work that you do protecting people from Westboro Baptist Church. Soldiers from Denmark fight in a lot of the same wars as the US, but we do not need to deal with the problem of some crazy people who thinks they can doom the entire world just because we do not share their views on religion. I am not religious, i only go to church for weddings, funurals etc. and i strongly believe in religious freedom, as long as you do not justify hurting others with that religion. And even though WBC does not physically harm anyone, I still feel that they should not be allowed to get within 1000 miles of a funeral. I have attended my fair share of funerals now, luckily all of which where elderly people who died in their bed, and i have been lucky enough that all of my friends that is or has been serving in the army has come home safe. But if that had not been the case and someone like WBC said they where comming, i would really really hope that someone from Denmark would do the same for those families. I actually only found out about all of this via YouTube by accident, I am a rather emotional guy and i think a good cry once in a while is healthy, and i like to watch the soldiers homecomming surprises, because then it is happy tears which i think is the best. But when i saw what WBC was dooing to grieving families, that made me very sad and angry, that those people do not even have a shred of human compassion, is beyond my understanding. But then i saw what you guys do to protect the families when grieving over their loved one. And i must say, i salute you, and i thank all you for your service to your country, as much as i do the service men and women of Danish army. Thank you for getting in the line of fire so that others do not have to, and i wanna thank you for your continued service to your fellow soldiers and their families, even in retirement. THANK YOU !!!!!!!! Best Regards, and with the hope to someday beeing able to afford, to come visit and pay my propper respects. Theis C Grefstad
