Copied from someone. But I guess we ALL needed this check. I know a few pity parties that might need to do some thankin bout things..... Sorry that I have done everything he speaks of in the past 48 hours. SOME CHRISTIANS ARE THE WORST PR PEOPLE GOD EVER HAD! Youve heard it since Vacation Bible School as a child, lift God up for others to see. Were supposed to witness or share what God has done in our lives. We are supposed to hold Him up as a light for the lost and dying world to see. And even Jesus says people will know that we are His by the love we show in our lives. Yep, we are indeed called to be public relations people for God. But, based on some of what I see on Facebook, either some of us are not good at our job OR we do not understand the God we are supposed to be representing. You see it every day, post after post after post, whining and moaning about being lonely, heart-broken, broke, hurting, etc., etc. etc.; which is fine if that is your case. Nothing wrong with sharing your hurts on Facebook and asking for prayer or other support. I choose not to do that, but that does not make it right or wrong. BUT, then you go and start mixing in praise for God, scripture, etc. Folks, thats just bad PR right there. Find even once in the entire 66 books of the Bible where God helped or healed someone and they were back the next day complaining about something else. Let me make it very simple for you, God does not make mistakes and He does not halfway fix things. If God steps in and fixes it, if it is truly His work, it is finished! If you give credit to God for something this morning then you are whining about it again this evening, its not likely He had anything to do with it. And if He did, I do NOT want to serve and follow YOUR GOD. Your God is weak and cannot finish a task. That is not the deliverer I know from the Bible. If you are truly blessed by God, if He has truly done a work in your life, then your job, according to scripture is to tell and share that victory with others. It is not to find the next thing to whine about. Whining and complaining about your personal condition constantly on Facebook (and in reality) is completely inconsistent with what God has called us as Christians to do. So, stop giving God credit for your foolishness He had nothing to do with. If God fixes it, if He is your refuge, if He is your strength, then it is fixed. You have nothing left to moan and complain about. Look back at your posts for the past month. What do they say? Is there more complaining and begging, or more praising? If you do not have the dignity to represent yourself better, then leave God out of it. Have the dignity and respect to give Him the honor and glory He deserves. Your cutesy scripture posts in between the pics of you drunk at the bar and complaining about your ex not paying child support is very bad PR for God. But, the Good News is, He loves you, and when you are ready to have all those issues fixed, Hell fix them for you. THEN youll really have something to share about Him (and it wont be a cutesy picture of footprints in the sand). If the most Bible you read today is in the posts on FB, something is wrong! ~ John Boy
