The incurable diagnosis we have been given is directly pointing to a Miracle in the Making for our family. Words seem so adequate to express our sincere appreciation for how you are standing with us during this time. We are in a fight for LIFE, yet God is the the Giver and Taker, therefore we can trust him fully. For around 12 weeks, Mom has been going through a very deep physical battle. It was our speculations that the problem was an extreme case of shingles, thus we were treating this problem. At noon on Friday, the 7th of November, Mom began to lose feeling in her legs and it continued to travel up her body to the place she could barely breathe. It was at this time that she felt they should call for an ambulance. She was transported to Mount Pleasant hospital around 2 p.m. After trying to do a Lumbar Puncture with no success, they felt it best to transport her to Baylor Hospital in Plano, TX where she could receive quality care while doing the needed testing. On Saturday morning, they did the MRI which brought great devastating news. She has a mass on her spine that was eating away her bones in her back and putting pressure on her nerves causing her to lose feeling in her lower body. After further testing they discovered that she also has multiple tumors in her lungs, skull, liver, breasts, ribs, and lymph nodes. As we heard the doctor say, “There’s no realistic cure”, our focus was lifted from our circumstances and dependence on any man’s ability to our God and HIS ALMIGHTY POWER. We are walking through the darkest night of our lives, yet we have seen the LIGHT of God’s faithfulness in every step. We would like to share some of these special experiences with you in the upcoming hours, days and weeks. We pray that your faith will be encouraged as you see how God is working in answer to believing prayer. Some precious scriptures: “Cast not away therefore your confidence which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come and will not tarry.” Hebrews 10:35-37 “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee and through the rivers they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43:2 “Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
