Copout? You tell me. Kruger supported a 76th Assembly District - TopicsExpress

Copout? You tell me. Kruger supported a 76th Assembly District candidate, who won our Democratic primary, who was supported by the Teamsters Union, those special-interest thugs, who want to keep our dear horses pulling 2,000-lb (empty) carriages in slavery on the NYC streets. This looks like politico-double-speak to me; this means a politician is dismissing you. (Leeza -- who believes that Kruger does not give two damns about a registry of animal abusers and who believes that Kruger does not care if old, sick, abused horses get no retirement and are worked and keep in highly inadequate conditions until they drop dead or or ready to be killed because they have passed their horses-use-by date -- here) If Liz Kruger does not regard our sibling species as their own category, not merely as they impinge on the lives of a species whose members can vote for her, then she does not represent me. All Earthings, please. Senator Liz Krueger Dear Ms. Coleman Thank you for writing to me in support of a law to enact public registries for animal abusers. As an advocate for human welfare, I believe that convicted abusers should be held accountable for their crimes, and I will take this model law into consideration. I understand the important relationships between humans and animals and believe it is our responsibility to protect them. I recognize the need to codify more humane standards for the care of New York State’s animals. The main goal as proponents of animal welfare is to reduce suffering and improve the quality of life for all our animals, especially by preventing animal abuse. I will take into consideration an animal abuser registry could be a tool for ensuring animal abusers can not acquire additional animals. It is important that any such legislation is crafted to ensure individual civil liberties are protected. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on this important issue. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future on this or any other issue. Sincerely, Liz Krueger State Senator Albany Office: 905 Legislative Office Bldg Albany, NY 12247 518-455-2297 District Office: 1850 Second Avenue, Ground Floor New York, NY 10128 212-490-9535
