Copy of the email written by my wife Deanna for the church prayer chain (this says it better than I can)-We saw the oncologist this morning to go over the results of the CT scan David had last Friday. His CEA level has been creeping up over the last few months, so we were not surprised to hear that his cancer has progressed. The primary tumor on his colon has thickened, and there are some new nodules in the connective tissues of the peritoneum. The liver still looks good. He has been on this maintenance program for a year now, so were thankful that it has kept things relatively stable this long. The plan now is to add another type of chemo through his port once every three weeks, plus add an oral chemo drug, pending insurance approval. So there will be some new side effects to work through. Lord willing, this regimen would continue for 4-6 months, at which time well re-evaluate where things are at. We are confident that whateer our God ordains is right, but thats not to say this has been an easy road. Please pray for us and our children, that we can rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father, whose grace is all-sufficient.
