Cork Airport, 28th March, 2014: This is a bitter sweet photo. From left to right is the Aer Lingus Regional EI/RE3866 ATR-72-600, EI-FAW, holding on Taxiway Charlie operating the inaugural flight to Newcastle. Next is the Ryanair Boeing 737-8AS, EI-EFF, now parked at the terminal but which has just arrived on Ryanairs final flight from Warsaw Modlin though a successful route. To the right is the Aer Lingus A320, EI-CVA, which has arrived from Paris CDG. On Stand 4 is th Falcon 900, 9H-GMT, which is on start up and awaiting oceanic clearance for Nassau in the Bahamas. The final aeroplane in the photo is Ryanairs Boeing 737-8AS, EI-EBY, which is backtracking runway 35 for takeoff on Ryanairs final flight to Krakow, another perfectly good route from Cork Airport, if not Corks strongest service to Poland.
