Cormac MacConnell seen here singing a song he wrote, is a very well known writer and he is also from a very musical family. His brother Cathal plays with The Boys of the Lough. Cormac wrote the title track of my new CD The Leaving, which is the name of the song that he wrote and gave to me. I have great pleasure to announce that he will be coming to the Frank Finn singing festival in Rosses Point and will launch my CD on Saturday Morning on Coney Island during a singing session we are going to have there. We spent a week singing and telling jokes while we were teaching and performing at the Caskills Irish Arts Week in July. We had a great time while there, and we will have a great weekend in Sligo too.
