Corn futures are down 4 cents across the board at midday. Reports of some producer selling are picking up as better than expected yields continue to roll in and are providing a bearish influence. Earlier this morning, wires reported that South Korea’s NOFI group was tendering for up to 140,000 MT of Feed Corn. After the close yesterday, USDA showed corn in Nebraska was 32% harvested, which was below the 5 yr average of 44%. Corn harvest in Iowa was also behind, currently at 35% harvested vs. the 5 yr average of 50%. Ohio reported corn in the mature stage was at 91%, compared to the 5 year average of 89%. North Dakota was 96% mature, above the 5 yr average figure of 85%.
