Coronation Streets Kirk Sutherland is to take centre stage in his own online spinoff. The hapless character, played by Andrew Whyment, will star in a five-part mini-series titled What Would Kirk Do? over the next few weeks. Coronation Street has aired webisodes in the past, but this will be the first series to include an interactive element. Fans of the show will be given the opportunity to help Kirk work out some pre-wedding conundrums before he marries Beth Tinker. As Kirk has a number of issues to overcome, viewers can determine his fate by picking from one of three endings to each of the episodes. The show will also see Kirk joined by different characters each time, with Maria, Eva, Craig, Sinead, Chesney and Beth all playing their parts. The first episode of What Would Kirk Do? will premiere on the shows official website tomorrow (December 12). Further instalments will then be released on December 22, December 29, January 5 and January 9.
