Corporate Communications Specialist Glimcher Realty Trust Columbus Full-time Experienced Job Description: • Works closely with the Director, Corporate Communications to maintain the company’s overall brand and messaging with an emphasis on associates and the local community. • Assists Human Resources in the development and implementation of associate-centered communications. • Maintains the company’s intranet including content gathering and creation and posting photos, videos and presentations. • Oversees updates to the design and functionality of the intranet working with Information Services as well as outside consultants. • Assists Human Resources in the development and implementation of benefits communications. • Manages corporate and associate award submissions. • Oversees the company’s community relations program. • Manages the company’s external reputation as a Top Workplace through the company’s website, social media channels, advertising, videos and media relations. • Supports Human Resources in the planning and promotion of company-wide events, activities and conferences. • Works closely with internal and external design resources to develop marketing materials that adhere to the company’s brand standards and highlight our Every Day Thinking philosophies (collateral, videos, promotional materials, etc). • Writes, distributes and posts new hire and associate-related news releases. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or a related field is required. • 3+ years public relations/corporate communications experience, focused on internal communications. • Strong writing skills. • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to coordinate events. • Knowledge of shopping center, retail and/or real estate industry. • Ability to manage outside vendors. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive. • Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to get along with diverse personalities.
