Corpus Christi Police Detectives have released video surveillance that shows a burglary from a vehicle at a business located at 5701 Everhart Road, The Stripes Store on January 2 at 2:25 PM. Store video surveillance shows the female victim in a 2000 purple Volvo sedan pull up next to gas pump number 10. A few seconds later, a white Ford F150 extended cab truck pulls up next to gas pump number 9. The female victim goes to the passenger side of her car and lets a child out. The driver of the white truck exits his vehicle and walks into the store with the female and the child. Inside the store, cameras capture the suspect at the counter paying for merchandise. He has short hair, a dark pullover hoodie with orange lettering on the front and orange trim. The suspect is scene exiting the store and walking across the parking lot. Instead of walking to his truck, he walks to the females parked Volvo, and enters her unsecured driver side door. The suspect removes a purse from inside the car, and then gets in his truck and leaves. The Corpus Christi Police Department wants to remind citizens of our community to observe this pattern of criminal behavior and protect yourself against it. We remind you to never leave items in your vehicle, and always lock your car no matter how long you plan on being away from it.
