Corruption alleged in Motor Vehicles Department Staff Reporter Kozhikode: Socialist Yuva Janata State general secretary Salim Madavoor has alleged that there were serious irregularities in the training process and transfer of employees under the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) when Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan directly controlled the Transport Ministry. He said in a statement here on Sunday that a model finishing school too was involved in sharing the benefits of the foul play by conducting unauthorised training for Motor Vehicle Inspectors and Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors. Mr. Madavoor said the suspected irregularities could be exposed only through a vigilance inquiry. He alleged that the Transport Commissioner was allowed to continue in power as he had done favours for the ministry in conducting unauthorised training in outside firms and facilitating the unfair transfer of officials.
