Cortina cars gathering for charity at Cahir Castle If you like classic cars then an event taking place in Cahir this Sunday is sure to catch your eye! The Cortina Enthusiasts of Ireland will kick off a fundraising drive from the town on Sunday morning, as part of their fundraising efforts for Motor Neuron Disease Research. Jim Duffy, of the group, explained that the run will leave the car park at Cahir Castle at 11am on Sunday, heading through the Vee and into Cappoquin. All classic Ford Cortina owners and drivers are welcome, they don’t have to be members of the group. There is no fee to take part but a collection will be taken up on the day. At least 30 Cortinas, with a raffle and spot prizes. Even those who are not drivers of the classic car are welcome to come along to Cahir Castle Car Park before the convoy drives away, to see these lovely cars, and make a donation to the charity. All funds raised will go to Motor Neuron Research at Beaumont Hospital. For information contact Jim Duffy (087)2547372.
