Cosmo Kitty always gazes wistfully out the back door as the dog does his business. Someday, she thinks, someday Im going to go out there where green things grow out of the floor, and when I do Im going to feast on birds and meet some gentlemen cats with money and generally live large. Eventually she does work up the nerve to make a dash for it, and then she freaks out and hides under the deck until she gets hungry and abashedly slinks into the house to be fed. To cats, the grass is always greener on the other side of the sliding glass door.
