Cosmos episode 12. Global warming. This I cannot understand. Why do the Superrich oppose measures which would preserve life for their children and grandchildren? I asked Michael Wolff this but his answer was unsatisfactory. His response was the the Superrich dont are exceptionalists, they dont feel ordinary rules apply to them. They feel that environmental crises are but opportunities for increased wealth. Can this be true? Is it simultaneously possible to be so financially successful and so dumb?
