Could Freud be right? I needed this video when I was teaching - TopicsExpress

Could Freud be right? I needed this video when I was teaching about three Theories of Emotions in my Psychology class the other day. James - Lange Theory says that we feel the body arousal first (heart pumping, or ready to burst in tears) and then we feel the emotion Fear or Sadness. Cannon-Bard Theory says that we feel these two (body arousal-tears) and emotion (sadness) at the same time, The two-factor theory says that body reacts and we think at the same time, and then we feel sad, (tears are ready, we think the song makes me sad, then we cry). However, this video could be interpreted a bit different and may throw away all previous theories. This little girl felt sad right away, then she thought a bit more, and then her body started to react by crying. So emotion first, then body and brain follows after. The question is What directs these emotions? In what realm do they exist? If not in our brain or our body, then where? Could Freud be right about our uncosciousness mind? Absolutely.
