Could another person in Texas be infected with Ebola? This is the question that has news outlets and the Dallas metropolitan area residents at a state of unrest. WFAA reports that a police officer enter the residence of Thomas Duncan(now deceased) to secure the apartment. The officer entered the residence without isolation precautions. Later he began feeling ill and went to an urgent care facility for diagnosis/treatment. The facility, already at high alert for patients exhibiting signs of Ebola infection, notified authorities of a possible Ebola patient. The patient was subsequently transferred to a Texas hospital for further diagnostic tests. The urgent care facility closed and underwent a comprehensive cleaning to ensure patient and employee safety. The result of the testing should be available in about 48 hours per hospital representative.
