Could someone please explain to me why a school bus at - TopicsExpress

Could someone please explain to me why a school bus at approximately 2:25 in the afternoon (presumably high school) stops every 3-4 houses on Lake Street? With the exception of one stop at Harrington Farms where about 5 kids got off the bus and crossed the street, all other stops were the students homes, literally 3 houses away from each other. When I was in middle school and high school, there was a neighborhood stop. You didnt get door to door service. I have had conversations with parents in kindergarten in my neighborhood who were told that the town has bus stops and cannot accommodate house to house stops for kindergarten. Does this not apply to high schoolers? I have had this problem on other streets as well, where a bus is literally stopping every 2-3; 3-4 houses. As a parent with limited time to get out of work and get to parent pick up myself, this is frustrating. If anyone has an explanation, I would love to hear it.
