Couldnt believe what I saw while taking Nelson for a walk 5am 8th January 2015 ... Saw a smallish heap of what I thought was rubbish on the floor, and when I approached I saw it was a dog lay on her side and looked in some distress and pain. It looked like she may of been run over, Nelson was very quiet but normally very vocal in presence of dogs but he approached and licked her!! Luckily I had my phone and had the emergency number for the RSPCA, contacted them and waited until they arrived to take her to vets. ... The inspector said it looks like she was run over and basically dragged herself away to die on the grass ... After getting a ccall around 11am and was found to have multiple fractures but she will survive after emergency surgery and recovering well thankfully. She is an Irish Blue Staffie, beautiful girl who was chipped so hes owner will be informed of her situation. Certainly a surreal start to my day and hope she recovers quickly!! the Staffie from yesterday - Vets informed me they managed to contact owner who was in tears, Kia (her name!!) Escaped from the back garden e few days ago and where she was found was close where her owner moved property a week ago, and confused she automatically came back and was hit by a car. She is making a very fast recovery and already the staff fuss over her, although still understandably in much pain she is responsive, tail wagging and is very friendly, and although her Recovery will be quite some time, all in all its turned out to be very happy ending 😄😄. If not for Nelson pulling me that way the poor baby may not of made it, Nelson is getting spoilt rotten all weekend, so proud of him 😄😄
