Couldnt sleep so I started looking through old photos. Came across a pic of Matthew Taylor and Hannah Perry at the beach from years and years ago and I remembered that trip like it was yesterday. We had gone to Depot Bay cause Matt needed to find the candle that Cassie Luna loved at the Depot Bay Candle Company for her Christmas present. As we went to cross the highway to the shops, the fire marshal pulled over and waved us over to his car. My first thought was what did we do this time :) The marshal rolled down the window and asked Matt and I if he could give a Christmas present to our daughter. I was in shock at such a nice gesture and Matt told him yes. Hannah loved her present so much (an art set), but a little while later asked when Matt had become her dad cause she thought her daddy was her dad.... Matt and I couldnt stop laughing about that one and would still bring it up years later. I dont know why I felt like sharing that memory, but it put a smile on my face so maybe it will put one on someone elses when they think of Matt.
