Council Tax banding scam. A number of residents have alerted Solihull Council after being contacted by a company about Council Tax rebanding. The company is telling those that they are targeting that they are paying too much Council Tax and that for a fee of £180 they can arrange for their property to be rebanded. Residents need to be aware that this company does not represent Solihull Council. Any Council Tax rebanding would be undertaken by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) free of charge. Solihull Council is urging residents not to give their personal or bank details over the phone unless they are certain who the caller is.
